Describes procedures for sampling clay building bricks, measurement of dimensions and a series of test methods. The tests are for transverse strength, compressive strength, efflorescence, pitting due to lime particles, initial rate of absorption, water absorption properties, resistance to salt attack and lateral modulus of rupture.
