The highly efficient Shogakukan Building has aThermo Active Building System (TABS) that uses unique corrugated-shaped floorslabs that uses the heat capacity of the reinforced concreate structure.Chilled water piping installed on top of the slab cools the floor below. Inaddition, waste heat from light fixtures is absorbed through the slits in theslabs.
