Award of Engineering Excellence: Advanced Energy Design for Obihiro Kosei Hospital

This article covers the 2024 Award of Engineering Excellence winning building. The southeastern part of Hokkaido has the biggest outdoor temperature difference in Japan, and a large amount of energy is required for a large hospital. Obihiro Kosei Hospital uses innovative approaches to achieve a significant reduction of gas fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions.
