This slide presentation outlines the City of Austin Water Utility's efforts at improving landscape irrigation efficiency. The presentation outline includes: Austin water supply and demand; residential irrigation use and conservation programs; evapotranspiration (ET) information; results of the mailer; results of on-site irrigation evaluations; and, next steps. The ET mailout information includes: group selection; calculating irrigated areas; classifying plant type; differences in sprinkler systems; ET spreadsheet; and final mailer. Response results are given. The Irrigation Evaluation Program is outlined and includes on-site irrigation evaluations, and an example of the irrigation evaluation form.
