This powerpoint presentation begins by providing background information on lead and copper source in drinking water, the use of granular activated carbon (GAC) filters and possible impacts on corrosion, nitrification effect on corrosion, and a pipe rig setup diagram. GAC treatment is presented with topics covering: representative water chemistry changes by GAC; pH change; and, effect of GAC treatment on copper and lead release.
