This powerpoint presentation begins by providing background information on the City of Rio Rancho, the 4th largest city and the fastest growing city in New Mexico. Its Water Reuse Strategy consists of: expanding the use of reclaimed water; and, reducing groundwater withdrawals. Integrated Membrane System (IMS)includes; IMS integrates two or more membranes with other processes; IMS can be used to achieve multiple treatment objectives; IMS is increasingly being considered for wastewater recycling; IMS system generally includes Reverse Osmosis (RO) process; and, RO generates a significant volume of concentrated waste. Research objectives include: investigate innovative beneficial reuse alternatives of RO-concentrate; and, investigate several innovative ideas to minimize RO-concentrate volume.
