The presentation shares experiences from a large-scale project in Colorado, the Colorado Radionuclide Abatement and Disposal Strategy (CO-RADS), including strategies for effective risk communication, and generating support for projects to reduce public health risks. A public outreach workgroup plan is presented, along with the value of local health departments, and developing/disseminating the message.
