This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the New York City water supply system. The challenge of changing hydrological and meteorological conditions compounded by man-made threats is presented, along with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Disaster Management Initiative that consists of the following components: Analysis - research/gap analysis and tabletop exercise; Development - IAC and work groups, and tabletop exercise rollout; Training - tabletop, functional exercises; and, Sustainment - plan updates, and training and exercises.
