This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the low pressure reverse osmosis water treatment facility in Hardinsburg, Kentucky. The Hardinsburg project scope was to treat alluvial groundwater for hardness and nitrate removal. The surface water source is presented, along with the groundwater source. A second reverse osmosis (RO) treatment facility, the Pinewoods Water Treatment Plant in Lee County, Florida, is presented and had the project scope of increasing the existing permitted production capacity of the nanofiltration (NF) WTP from 2.1 to 2.3- MGD through rehabilitation and modifications to the existing NF system. A new membrane change-out is presented, along with RO expansion, new RO design, and process optimization. A third RO treatment facility, the Winterset, Iowa, Nitrate Removal RO-NF Hybrid System, is presented along with options considered for nitrate reduction, concentrate disposal considerations, compatibility with existing process, full scale design, control system interfaces, and full scale nitrate rejection.
