A case study of mains replacement with the city of Atlanta, Georgia is presented. The benefits of the MRP approach include: provides an auditable approach to mains renewal; calibrated to match distribution system; configured to represent critical drivers for renewal decisions; can be easily enhanced as drivers change or more data becomes available; and, financial savings in renewal costs through project planning and by optimizing renewal effort.
