This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the city of Arlington, Texas, and its current water system. Reasons for a master plan and model update are provided, along with model development issues, and calibration and operational issues. Various benefits are presented, and lessons learned include the following: field verify pressure plane boundaries prior to field testing; utilize billing data for initial demand distribution; perform detailed review of geographic information system (GIS) connectivity again and again; and, field verify supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) measurements, where possible.
