This slide presentation gives information on a membrane fouling study at a large-scale ultrafiltration membrane facility. Elements of a membrane autopsy procedure are presented that include: membrane module selection; physical inspection; module dissection; microscopy analysis; fouling analysis; membrane fiber physical strength test; cleaning efficacy study; and, data interpretation and recommendation.
