This paper summarizes the history and purpose of Tampa Bay Water's 25-mgd seawater desalination facility, the original design of the plant, modifications being made to the plant so that its performance will meet contractual standards, pilot tests conducted to evaluate the performance of proposed modifications, the current status of the remediation construction, and plans to resume operation of the plant this spring.
