This paper discusses the trends followed by water reclamation and reuse in Costa Brava since 1985, identifies the practical benefits (economical, operational, administrative, and environmental) achieved through the demonstration projects operated by Consorci de la Costa Brava (Water and Sanitation District of Costa Brava, CCB), and highlights the policy criteria currently being considered by ACA to further implement integrated water resources management, in accordance with the economical and environmental discussions raised by the river water diversions proposed by state water plans.
