This slide presentation outlines information on an approach for assessing the toxicological relevance of endocrine disruptors and pharmaceuticals in drinking water. Project objectives included: published literature reviews of data relevant to endocrine disruptors (EDCs) and pharmaceuticals in drinking water; risk assessments for selected compounds; analyses of waters and foods/beverages;and, public relations and communication tools. Topics covered include: criteria for selection of contaminants of potential concern (COCP) for risk assessment; health risk potential; draft final candidate list; and, list of selected phytoestrogens.
