The project goals for this slide presentation included: characterize disinfection byproduct (DBP) and DBP precursor occurrence (post-Stage 1 D/DBP Rule) in consecutive systems. (A consecutive system is defined as a utility that purchases water from a wholesaler and distributes it to retail customers); understand changes in DBP levels in consecutive systems as a function of disinfection practices at the wholesaler and consecutive system and overall water age; and, evaluate and recommend DBP control strategies and treatment technologies for consecutive systems, taking into account their limitations.
