This slide presentation outlines information on Capital Improvement Planning for water/wastewater security projects, and the uncertainty in future legislative requirements. The goal of this project is to assist senior utility managers in understanding several points that include: effectiveness/ineffectiveness of security technologies; ongoing programs to test effectiveness of new and emerging technologies; likely funding priorities for security improvements; decision process of timing/phasing of security projects; and, lessons already learned by others. Topics covered include: GAO Committee experiences; utility survey questions; utility interview results; ongoing water security research projects; security project experience/lessons learned; and, conclusions.
