This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the project drivers and then presents the project workplan that includes the following: development of Core Strategy Group; provide definition of interruptions, short-, medium- and long-term; analyze interruptions - provide recommendations for reduced use and provide recommendations for alternatives without evacuation; and, provide best practices models. The Water Audit Handbook is presented, along with water use by function, alternative wate supply planning; and, hospital survey and results of survey. Presentation observations include: bottled water is a very temporary/limited solution, does not address basic sanitation and fire fighting; the vast majority of water supply use in hospitals is for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); and, the longer interruptions are more complicated.
