Clarity and freedom from suspended matter, colour, colour after heat treatment, density at 20°C, refractive index, water content, ash, acidity and saponification value. Also matter oxidizable by potassium dichromate (BS 4696 and BS 4970 only) and viscosity (BS 4970 only).
