IEQ Applications: ASHRAE’s Discussions on Health and Wellness

Much of the perceived conflict between indoor environmental quality andenergy efficiency results from two elements of an energy strategy: the tendencyto minimize outdoor air ventilation rates and the willingness to relax controlson temperature and relative humidity to save energy. The author discusses themultidisciplinary task group formed by ASHRAE President Sheila Hayter toaddress these concerns.
