This article discusses a study that compared the utility expense ofoperating an air-cooled chiller plant versus a water-cooled chiller plantacross eight climatic zones as identified in ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1-2016. Thefocus is on utility costs to the owner and the role of energy modeling inmaking the best possible selection.
