This joint standard practice specifies procedures to design, install, and inspect thin-film organic linings applied to new carbon steel process vessels. Subjects covered include lining materials, vessel fabrication and preparation, applicator qualifications and submissions, surface preparation, lining application, and inspection and repair of vessel linings. An appendix is included, detailing documents and standards that can be used in conjunction with this standard. This standard is maintained by Task Group (TG) 246.
