Retro-Commissioning an Equestrian Racecourse for Efficiency & Reliability

Sha Tin Racecourse (STRC) in Hong Kong has been operating for more than 40 years and is equipped with various facilities such as betting halls, restaurants, viewing balcony and recreational amenities, as well as both turf and all-weather horse racing tracks. The STRC Grandstand underwent four phases of air-conditioning infrastructure upgrades between 2009 and 2014, including a centralized water-cooled chiller plant with water-cooled centrifugal chillers with adaptive frequency drives to replace individual air-cooled chiller plants.
