Simulation of Efficiency Improvements to an Automatic Commercial Ice Maker

This article outlines enhancements made to a simulation model to improve the energy efficiency of an automatic commercial ice maker. Governing equations for the compressor, condenser, expansion valve, and connecting tubing were adapted from prior research available in the literature.
