Technology Award: Updating Sea-Tac Airport’s North Satellite

The existing 50-year-old, 95,000 ft2 footprint of North Satellite at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport was renovated and expanded, increasing the number of aircraft gates from 12 to 20 and extending the building by 181,000 ft2 to better serve passengers. Renovation details include a rainwater capture system, the use of recycled building materials and building pressurization practices.
