This test method covers determination of the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) ofhydraulic cement concrete cores and cylinders. Since it is known that the degree of saturation ofconcrete influences its measured coefficient of thermal expansion, the moisture condition of theconcrete specimens must be controlled. For this test procedure, the specimens must be in asaturated condition.
