Purpose

The standard practices established in this document provide guidance on the processes and practices necessary or recommended for a company to control technology, including technical data, subject to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

Application

These standard practices are applicable to all domestic and foreign company facilities and personnel that export, reexport, transfer, or otherwise have technology subject to the EAR. This voluntary standard does not provide legal advice, nor is it intended to address specific export transactions.
