AS 1546-1990

Specifies minimum requirements for the design, manufacture, capacity and testing of concrete, brick and glass fibre reinforced plastic septic tanks. Applies to septic tanks suitable for the reception and treatment of sewage and sullage from households not exceeding ten persons. The concrete tanks include the following types; (a) cylindrical, precast, steel reinforced; (b) cylindrical, precast, steel fibre reinforced; (c) rectangular, precast, steel reinforced; and (d) rectangular, cast-in-situ.
