The overall objectives of this work were to evaluate summary statistics and frequency distributions for lead and copper level data from regulatory monitoring data collected at four utilities: the Philadelphia Water Department, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (PWD); the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department, Detroit, Michigan (DWSD), the Fort Worth Water Department, Fort Worth, Texas (Fort Worth); and, the Portland Water Bureau, Portland, Oregon (PWB). These utilities have collected regulatory compliance samples for over 10 years using the protocol required in the Lead and Copper Rule (LCR). In addition, alternative home tap monitoring data collected at PWD and DWSD as part of the AwwaRF project entitled Lead and Copper Post-Optimization Alternative Monitoring Strategies was evaluated. Comparisons of statistical parameters, changes in frequency distributions, and the occurrence of high lead levels over time as these utilities implemented corrosion control treatment are presented and discussed. Includes reference, tables, figures.
