This powerpoint presentation begins by providing the utility laboratory role in an emergency response, and emergency response planning for utility laboratories. The six modules of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Response Protocol Toolbox (RPTB) are presented and include: Module 1: Planning; Module 2: Contamination; Threat Management; Module 3: Site Characterization and Sampling; Module 4: Sample Analysis; Module 5: Public Health Measures; and, Module 6: Remediation and Recovery. A case study is provided of Laboratory Emergency Response Planning at the Philadelphia Water Department.
