This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the five year strategic plan for a water sector decontamination strategy. Topics covered include: development of disposal guidance for biological, chemical, and radiological agents; other decontamination priorities outlined in the Strategic Plan for U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Water; and, coordination with decontamination research efforts to facilitate outreach to stakeholders. A utility case study is presented, along with key discussion topics that include the following: what concerns do you see with regard to disposal of large amounts of water and associated solid wastes; what related decontamination issues are you most concerned about; and, how well does your Emergency Response Plan address decontamination and disposal issues?
