Rectangular and cylindrical pressure steam sterilizers for dressings (e.g. towels, gowns), rubber equipment (e.g. gloves) and instruments and utensils wrapped in porous material. Operation is with saturated steam at a maximum pressure of 32 lbf/in² gauge (2.25 kgf/cm²) (136.0°C). Provision for a reduced pressure (vacuum) prior to the admission of steam, and for drying the load after sterilization. Control of sterilizers fully automatic.
