This publication identifies good environmental management practices (GEMPs) to prevent pollution; conserve natural resources; minimize the generation of wastes, discharges and releases; and properly manage any residuals associated with typical compressed gas industry activities. It covers typical activities at air separation and helium production facilities, hydrogen and carbon monoxide facilities, carbon dioxide facilities, truck maintenance and distribution sites, acetylene manufacturing facilities, cylinder fill operations, specialty gases operations, and customer installations (bulk tanks).
