This Technical Report was prepared by members of the PDA Last Mile: Guidance For Good Distribution Practices For Pharmaceutical Products To The End User Task Force. Managing shipments of product in the "last mile" to the point of patient administration can prove difficult, but PDA`s Last Mile Task Force has sorted through the various distribution regulations in major markets to provide guidance on the proper handling of controlled-temperature medicinal products and devices along the final legs of the distribution chain. This follow-up document to Technical Report No. 39 on cold chain management is an invaluable tool to all involved in the "last mile."
