This specification establishes the engineering requirements and process controls for brush plating of copper by electrodeposition. It should be used, in conjunction with AMS 2451, for general purpose copper deposits.

This process is used typically to repair damaged, worn, or mismachined parts and as a stop-off in carburizing and nitriding but usage is not limited to such applications.
