This specification covers a corrosion and heat resistant nickel alloy in the form of wire.

This wire has been used typically for springs and wire cloth requiring retention of spring properties up to 700 degrees F (371 degrees C) and corrosion resistance superior to that of the 18-8 type corrosion-resistant steels, but usage is not limited to such applications.
