TIA ANSI/TIA-570-E

This Standard applies to telecommunications premises cabling systems and the related pathways and spaces for single- and multi-dwelling residential buildings. It applies to the telecommunications cabling within or between structures and includes the cabling within a single-dwelling unit and the backbone cabling. It specifies cabling intended to support a wide range of telecommunications applications in the residential environment supporting signal and remote powering for:

• voice, data, video including local area networks (LANs), wireless access points (WAPs)

• security including alarms, intercom

• whole home audio

• control systems including home automation systems, environmental control, smart lighting
