These requirements are for use in the regulation of agencies servicing portable fire extinguishers. This Standard is intended to assist in the implementation of the requirements of the National Fire Code of Canada. The Stanard for Portable Fire Extinguishers, NFPA 10, or other Standards referenced by the authority having jurisdiction. These requirements are not applicable to the activity of filling or charging a portable fire extinguisher prior to its initial sale by its manufacturer.
