The 4th edition of DIN Handbook 3 contains 49 basic standards dealing with mechanical fasteners, rolling bearings, power transmission elements, chain drives, springs, steel and cast iron. The handbook covers a broad spectrum of mechanical engineering topics, with particular emphasis being placed on basic and most commonly used constructional elements and materials.
